Why We Built This
Like a lot of people, our founder went through the frustrating experience of apartment hunting without any real data to lean on. Listings were all over the place. Landlords quoted prices with confidence. And every tool that claimed to show "average rents" was either outdated, paywalled, or only covered major cities.
The information existed. It just wasn't accessible to the people who needed it most.
So we built RentDataNow to fix that.
What We Do
RentDataNow is a free rental market intelligence platform covering over 4,000 cities and 8,000 ZIP codes across the United States. We aggregate rental pricing data from user submissions and public sources, clean it, verify it, and make it available to anyone. No subscription, no paywall, no catch.

How Our Data Works
We believe transparency about data is just as important as the data itself. Here's how ours comes together:
User submissions
We hope that user submissions will form the backbone of our dataset. Renters across the country contribute real pricing information from their own leases and searches; the kind of ground-level data that no algorithm can fully replicate.
Public sources
Census data, HUD data, and more supplement and cross-reference user data, helping us fill coverage gaps and flag outliers.
Ongoing verification
Means we're constantly reviewing data quality, removing stale entries, and improving accuracy over time.
We don't claim to be perfect. Rental markets move fast and no dataset captures every nuance. But we're committed to being as accurate and up to date as possible, and we're always improving.
Free to Access
We made a deliberate decision to keep RentDataNow free. Renters already face enough barriers, and cost shouldn't be one of them when it comes to accessing basic market information. We keep the lights on through advertising, not subscriptions, so the data stays open to everyone regardless of income or background.
